# Lotus Yoga Academy
> A Yoga Alliance-certified yoga school and retreat centre located in the Himalayan foothills above Rishikesh, India (Pipalkoti, Uttarakhand), offering in-person and online Yoga Teacher Training, yoga retreats, and yoga education rooted in traditional Hatha and Ashtanga practice.
Lotus Yoga Academy is set 25km above Rishikesh in the Himalayan foothills, intentionally located away from the busy Tapovan district, in a small-group, ashram-style environment (maximum 8 guests per retreat). Founded by Sonu Badoni, a Yoga Alliance-certified teacher practicing since 2008.
